What it means

A KPI (Key Performance Indicator) is an ongoing measure of a result, such as monthly sales or ticket-resolution time. An OKR (Objectives and Key Results) pairs an ambitious objective with a few measurable key results for a set period.

Benefits

  • Clarifies how performance is measured.
  • Helps set fair, measurable goals.
  • Improves feedback conversations.
  • Supports growth and development.

Example

  • KPI: reduce average ticket resolution time to 24 hours.
  • OKR: Objective - delight customers; Key results - raise satisfaction score from 80 to 90 and cut resolution time to 24 hours this quarter.

Rates, limits, and rules (for example for pensions, social insurance, and end-of-service pay) differ by country and company and change over time. Treat these as general explanations and confirm the current position where you operate before relying on them.
